The name of the place was changed several times from 'Vila Vienna' to 'Jannat' to finally it being named 'Mannat' as it fulfilled all of SRK's wishes.
King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan, for more than 25 years, has stayed in the hearts of his fans. SRK started his career with television shows like Circus and Fauji and later went on to become the reigning King of Bollywood.
One of Shah Rukh Khan's most prized possessions is his home 'Mannat' which was once a heritage villa and is now a six-story palace. The name of the place was changed several times from 'Vila Vienna' to 'Jannat' to finally it being named 'Mannat' as it fulfilled all of SRK's wishes.
When Shah Rukh first bought the property on lease in 2001, he paid INR 13.32 crore for the 26,329 sq ft Arabian Sea-facing bungalow. At the time, he paid a nominal rent of just INR 2,325 a year. But when the Maharashtra Government revised land prices for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Shah Rukh Khan was given a choice to either continue to rent Mannat at INR 19 lakh per year or simply buy it for INR 8.3 crore.
As per reports in Zee News, SRK's property is currently valued at INR 200 crore. Then again, by the virtue of being Shah Rukh Khan's house, Mannat's asking price could well be a lot more than the market rate, if he decides to sell it.
On the work front, as of now, Shah Rukh was last seen in 'Zero' which was released in 2018. The actor worked with director Aanand L Rai for the science-romantic film which featured Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma as the female leads. It has been two years and the actor has not yet announced his next film. He has mainly contributed to producing movies and web shows.
