Diljit-Kriti's 'Arjun Patiala' song 'Main Deewana Tera' is reminder of Shahid's 'Gustakh Dil' & 'Jabse Mere Dil Ko Uff'

The trailer of Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma starrer Arjun Patiala released a few days back. The clip has become one of the most-spoken-about films ever since, and was received with a lot of love and appreciation. The makers have now released a new video - of the first song from their film titled 'Main Deewana Tera'.

The 'original' song from Arjun Patiala is quite a peppy number featuring Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma. Guru Randhawa's lyrics and voice combined with music by Sachin-Jigar make the party number pefect for foot-tapping and a little flirting.

The song, interestingly is also introduced as 'ladki pataane wala ek aur gaana' (just another song that would help you get that girl of your dreams). It features Kriti Sanon in a yellow saree with blue sequined blouse, while Diljit Dosanjh rocks the tuxedo and black pants. Wondering where have you seen that look? Fret not, it was from Shahid Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra's 'Teri Meri Kahaani' song 'Jabse Mere Dil Ko Uff'. In fact, just like Shahid, Kriti plays the trumpet in the song.

The chemistry between Diljit and Kriti, however, is more evident from the song 'Gustakh Dil', which again featured Shahid in a similar retro look like Diljit in 'Main Deewana Tera'. That song was part of Shahid's film Dil Maange More, which saw Soha Ali Khan shaking a leg with Shahid.

Here, take a look at all the three songs:

Directed by Rohit Jugraj and written by Ritesh Shah and Sandeep Leyzell, Arjun Patiala, also starring Ronit Roy, Seema Pahwa and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, will release in theatres on July 26. The movie would face a clash with Sonakshi Sinha's Khandaani Shafakhana, which also features Varun Sharma in a pivotal role.
