Sona Mohapatra was last in news for charging #MeToo allegations on Kailash Kher, Anu Malik and Sonu Nigam. The actress, who has most often been in controversies, took a jibe at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The actor had posted a photo after he wrapped his upcoming movie Bharat with Katrina Kaif. The singer came across this tweet and asked twitter to spruce up their algorithm and added that she 'doesn't even follow this person' (Salman).

She tweeted, "Dear @twitter I don’t follow this person & would request you to spruce up your algorithm to NOT put his advertised tweets on my timeline."

This however isn't the first time when Sona spoke up against Salman either. When he was condemned in the blackbuck poaching case last year, she had tweeted, "So, what new inane defence will Madhu Kishwar sprout now? Nafisa Ali? RJ Rishi Kannan? Will daddy say sorry on his behalf? What will the suck ups in the industry do? When's bail? When's the next blockbuster release? Dabangg'concert' tour dates? Big Boss? Charity drives?"

Sona was last seen in the music video of a song with a band of Pakistani singers called Strings. The song released in January, much before the ban on Pakistani artists became stringent post Pulwama terror attack and its after-effects. In February, she even went on to call the move of banning artistes from across the border 'petty and narrow-minded'.
