Ayushmann Khurrana's next is 'highly political drama' titled 'Anek' helmed by Anubhav Sinha?

According to a column in Open Magazine by Rajeev Masand, Ayushmann has already signed his next film which will be helmed by Anubhav Sinha.

Ayushmann Khurrana is currently enjoying the release of his latest film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, in which he plays the role of a homosexual man for the first time in his career. According to a column in Open Magazine by Rajeev Masand, Ayushmann has already signed his next film which will be helmed by Anubhav Sinha who worked together with Ayushmann in Article 15. 

The column states that Ayushmann has already agreed to star in Anubhav's "highly political drama" titled Anek which will go on floors in April. Anubhav, in a recent interview with IANS also called Ayushmann and Taapsee Pannu his favourite actors. "I am making a film with Taapsee next. We will start shooting next month. I have to mention that Taapsee and Ayushmann are my favourite actors -- or stars, whatever you call them. I love them. Our thought processes are in sync with one another," he said. 

On the work front, Ayushmann is busy promoting Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan in which, Ayushmann, as a gay man fights to gain acceptance from the homophobic family of his boyfriend, played by Jitendra Kumar. After that, Ayushmann will be next seen in Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo alongside Amitabh Bachchan. The film reportedly is a comedy that was originally supposed to release on February 28 but will now release on April 17.

Anubhav, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of Thappad starring Taapsee. The film revolves around a woman’s decision to walk out of her marriage after her husband slaps her at a party.
