Now, we hear, the makers of Total Dhamaal, too, are taking the same route.

Over the last few years, filmmakers in Bollywood have been converting their movies into the 3D format in a ploy to grab eyeballs. Case in point are films such as Don 2, Ra.One, ABCD 2, Padmaavat and the forthcoming Race 3.
Now, we hear, the makers of Total Dhamaal, too, are taking the same route.
Says a source, “This is the first time that a comic caper will be presented in 3D format. Talks are still in the nascent stage. Nothing has been locked, but director Indra Kumar and producers Ajay Devgn and Ashok Thakeria have been discussing the idea with Fox Star Studios that is backing the film as well as distributing it. The team has been shooting the movie with 3D cameras, in case they decide to process it that way.” The third instalment of the Dhamaal franchise has flying planes and car chase sequences, which can lend itself well on screen in 3D format. We contacted the makers but they didn’t respond to our texts.
