Facebook memorial is held for Pratik and Karthik

The death of Pratik Kalaichelvan and his brother Karthik Kalaichelvan in a plane crash in Texas has prompted grief-stricken friends to open a community memorial on Facebook. The memorial is called ‘Pratik rest in peace’.

What was supposed to be a fun trip to Stephenville for a barbecue (a Texas treat for Pratik, a dental student, in India, who was visiting his brother in Arlington), turned tragic after the plane they were in crashed near the town of Tolar in Hood County, Texas.

Monica Jain, a student and classmate of Pratik at Ramchandra College in Chennai, said: “He was a good human being; he always made people happy when he was around; he was really an awesome person. I just hope he is happy where ever he is.”
