A team of Vejalpur police have nabbed four people in connection with the firing incident that took place on Sunday.

The four, who are also accused in the case, have been identified as Ayub Pathan, Shabdher Pathan, Shaber Pathan, and Kasim Pathan. All of them were intercepted on Monday night near Fatewadi while on their way to meet a friend.

Police sources said that the firing on Sunday was a result of a land deal gone wrong. The four accused had entered into a land deal with the victim Rahim Khan. "But something went wrong in the deal and one of the parties wanted it to be resolved. But soon the argument turned into an altercation and Ayub pulled out his pistol and fired five rounds in the air," said the source.

He added that when cops were informed of the incident, the four fled from the area and Khan lodged a complaint against them.

AU Tapariya, Inspector of Vejalpur police station, said that they are still investigating the matter and they have got three days remand of the accused.

"Further questioning will reveal what the land deal was about and why it had gone sour," said Tapariya.
