Donald Trump, a former US president, made his first post on X, previously Twitter after the social media company reinstated his account last year. Trump posted his mug shot that was earlier published by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office following his arrest in relation to the Georgia election subversion case.

Below the photo, it said, "Never surrender!" He also posted a link to his fundraising website along with a photo of himself in jail.

After his supporters' attack on Congress on January 6, 2021, Trump regained direct access to the public on the platform that had previously blocked him.

Users were asked to vote on whether Trump should be reinstated on the app after Musk took charge. Nearly 15 million Twitter users participated in the poll and chose to have Trump return. Later, Musk tweeted his affirmation of Trump's reinstatement.

“Today, at the notoriously violent jail in Fulton County, Georgia, I was ARRESTED despite having committed NO CRIME,” Trump said in a statement. “The American people know what’s going on. What has taken place is a travesty of justice and ELECTION INTERFERENCE.”

On Thursday, Trump was formally taken into custody at the Fulton County Jail on accusations of racketeering and conspiracy and released on a $200,000 bond. He is charged with conspiring with 18 other defendants to overturn Georgia's 2020 election.
