Nawaz Sharif advised rest for two to three weeks post-surgery

Pakistan's former prime minister and opposition PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif is recovering fast following his heart surgery and has been advised bed rest for two to three weeks.

According to party sources, 61-year-old Sharif has been shifted from a private central London hospital, where he underwent surgery last week, to his home.

They said he is recovering fast and has been advised by doctors to take complete rest for two to three weeks.

Siddiq-ul-Farooq, a central leader of PML-N, said "Nawaz Sharif is now well and recovering. His medical tests and check-ups will continue."

Sharif complained of chest pain when he travelled from Geneva to London with his wife and son Hasan Nawaz and was admitted to the hospital.
