Google search wasn't working for some time on Tuesday morning. Outage tracking website Downdetector.com confirmed the Google outage. It said more than 40,000 incidents of issues with Google Search were reported. When a search was being made, the Google servers were showing the 502 error. "502. That's an error. The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request. Please try again in 30 seconds. That's all we know," the message prompt said.

In another message, the message read, "We are sorry but it appears that there has been an internal server error while processing your request. Our engineers have been notified and are working to resolve the issue. Please try again later."

The Google Trends service was also briefly not working. Though the link was opening, the window that shows the trends was empty. The real-time trends, however, were working properly. The service was restored after a few minutes.

Scores of users in India and abroad shared on Twitter that Google isn't working properly.

"Had a Google search engine error for the first time ever. The engine was totally down. It's so rare the first thing I did was come to Twitter to see if anything major is going on with the web. Conspiracy theories here we come!  #google #error," @RyanBakerSLO wrote on Twitter.

A verified handle called @CryptoWhale said the Google Search outage has affected millions of people. "JUST IN: Google Search is currently facing major network outages for millions of people across 40+ countries," it tweeted.

@SAldawiri wrote, "This is an insane experience... google is down... the apocalypse is finally here we cant google why googles down now we only have bing and yahoo to guide us in this darkness."
