Binita Jain who created history by becoming the first ever participant to win Rs. 1 crore in the 10th edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati, has revealed how she prepared for the mega show.

While talking to IANS, Binita said “I am not into book reading. But I am an online reading person. So once the final round was confirmed, I started reading online.”
Binita who is getting used to all the limelight she is receiving. “I am touched by the humility of Amitabh Bachchan. Being such a huge star, he is so down to earth -- the way he interacts with the audience and participants is amazing. I am touched, really. Never did I ever imagine that I would interact with media and grab limelight for winning a game like KBC. I would say that luck played an important factor in that", Binita told IANS.
“Thousands of people are calling to participate in the game show and so many of them just don’t get the phone connection at the first place. That is why they got rejected in a way. Knowledge is a different thing, but getting a platform to show your knowledge is equally important in this case. I cannot thank my luck enough,” she said.
Binita Jain who is a single parent from Assam’s Guwahati, answered the first 14 questions correctly to win Rs. 1 crore during the episode.
She will be spending the prize money on her son. “My son is a very hard working person. He is currently doing his masters in dentistry. The money will be completely utilised to build a clinic for him as soon he graduates.”
Jain, a mother of two, on the show revealed that her husband was kidnapped in February 2003 while on a business trip. Later, the family came to know he was kidnapped by terrorists. After a year and half of waiting, Jain decided that life has to move on and began taking tuitions to support her family. Binita started teaching seven students which later increased to about 125. She teaches Social Studies and English.
Legally her husband has been declared dead, but they still have hope that he is alive. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan complimented Binita for her grit and determination and said it was people like her that inspire him to keep going every day.

You will be surprised to know that Binita Jain gave the correct answer of the jackpot question but couldn't win Rs. 7 crore as she had already quitted the show. Even Amitabh Bachchan was shocked after she gave the correct answer. Binita said it's her ‘intuitive power’.
Apart from winning Rs 1 crore, a teacher by profession Binita also won a brand new Mahindra Marazzo car.
Binita gifted Amitabh Bachchan a tea during the game. She said that the tea is the world’s most expensive tea grown in Assam. Furthermore, she said that the name of this tea is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.
