Arun Sharma becomes winner of 'Roadies Real Heroes'

On August 18, the winner of Roadies Real Heroes has been announced. Arun Sharma from Team Raftaar has been declared winner of the 16th season of the show. Arun was pitted against Bidhan Shrestha and Ankita Pathak of gang Prince Narula.

Arun Sharma, hailing from Kashmir, was wild card contestant. He hails from a remote village Nahoti, near LOC in Rajouri in Jammu & Kashmir, joined the show mid-way. By the finale task, Arun won the ultimate test of rescuing his gang leader and members.

MTV Roadies made the announcement with a video which featured Rannvijay Singh handing Arun his prizes. "WOHOOO! @arunsharmaax, congratulations for winning the title of @letsdroom#RoadiesRealHeroes. Well deserved, boy! @oppomobileindia@woodlandexploremore@frankfinnofficial #RoadiesFinale," wrote the official handle of MTV Roadies.

Like announced for the winner at the beginning of the show, Arun Sharma won a superbike from Droom.in and a year worth free stay in OYO Homes. Talking about his win, Arun also told India Today, "For me, the journey has been quite different. I got rejected in the culling round. Rannvijay sir told you are very strong but are also very sweet. And that is something, which doesn't work on Roadies as one needs to be smart and cunning. After being rejected, I was called for the wild card entry. As a wild card contestant, it's extremely difficult. It feels like joining a class during mid-session, where everyone is friends and no one likes you, be it the gang leaders or the contestants. From day one to the last vote out, they wanted me out of the show. From being the target to winning the show, the feeling is amazing. All the physical and mental strain was worth it."
