In what can be seen as a way of retaining its users, WhatsApp is going to bring about various new features for their benefit. These updates are planned soon after the privacy concerns on the Facebook-owned messaging platform made some leave WhatsApp. According to reports, WhatsApp is going to bring a feature that would allow the users to log out of the application.

Many had previously shared the need for a feature to log out on the app to get some respite from it. It was a concern particularly for those who are always receiving and sending messages on the platform. The users only have the option to delete the app for that purpose currently.

As per a report of WaBetaInfo, which keeps a track of WhatsApp updates, the app will finally bring in a logout option for its users. The report suggests that the new beta version of WhatsApp has a logout option available now. The new option will be available for both the iOS and Android versions of the app and work for both the WhatsApp Messenger and Business versions.

According to WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp would also remove the option to delete the account, along with bringing in the new logout feature. It is based on the WhatsApp beta version for iOs 2.21.30.16 that would allow the users to log out from different connected devices. A video demonstration showed that the 'Delete Account' button would be replaced with the option to log out on the linked devices' interface of the app.

It is also reported that WhatsApp is working on an update to allow multi-device support as well, which has been another popular demand of the users. The new feature would allow people on the app to use their WhatsApp account on multiple devices at the same time.
