OnePlus 8T launch event today: When to watch in India, expected launch details and more

OnePlus 8T 5G is set for a global launch on October 14. The launch will begin at 7'30 pm today. OnePlus 8T specifications confirmed so far include a 6.55-inch 120Hz AMOLED flat display with a max brightness of 1,100 nits, a 65W fast charger for the 4,500 mAh battery and a quad-camera setup on the back.

Following the global launch, OnePlus 8T will be released via Amazon in India starting October 17, the company has confirmed.

The OnePlus 8T is coming with a bunch of big upgrades over the older model. It will use the 5G-equipped Snapdragon 865 chip from the OnePlus 8. However, it will ship with Oxygen OS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box. The 8T will ditch the entry-level variant 6GB RAM and only offer up to 12GB RAM on this phone.

Further, the phone will be powered by a 4500 mAh battery backed by a 65W fast-charger. The OnePlus phone is said to flaunt a quad-camera setup with a 48MP Sony primary camera, 16MP wide-angle camera, 5MP macro-camera and 2MP monochrome sensor.

OnePlus 8T 5G expected price in India

The OnePlus 8T 5G's price is expected to start from Rs 42,999 in India, while the top-end 12GB/256GB variant could cost Rs 45,999.
