Indians love to invest their money especially the middle class and housewives and Fixed Deposits (FDs) remains on of the safest investment instruments as it offers decent returns with the safety of assured returns. However, with no changes in the interest rates with the rising inflation, fixed deposits have become an unattractive investment option.
Most of the public and private banks are offering a really low rate of interest when it comes to fixed deposits. But there are a few small finance banks that are offering up to a seven per cent interest rate on fixed deposits maturing in a year.
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank
This bank is offering a one-year fixed deposit with an annual interest rate of 6.5 per cent to regular customers. However, senior citizens can enjoy a seven per cent annual interest rate on FDs with similar tenure.
Utkarsh Small Finance Bank
Utkarsh Small Finance Bank is offering an attractive interest rate of 6.5 per cent per annum on fixed deposits maturing in one year. Senior citizens can avail a 7 per cent interest rate on their 1-year fixed deposits.
Suryoday Small Finance Bank
Suryoday Small Finance Bank is providing a 6.50 per cent annual interest rate to its customers investing in one year FD scheme of the bank.
ESAF Small Finance Bank
ESAF Small Finance Bank is also providing its 1 year FD schemes at an annual interest rate of 6.5 per cent to regular customers. Whereas, senior citizens can claim up to a 7 per cent interest rate.
Jana Small Finance Bank
On the lower end, Equitas Small Finance Bank is offering a 6.25 per cent interest rate on fixed rates with a tenure of one year to regular customers and a 6.75 per cent interest rate to senior citizens.
