Now, ‘Pakistani’ hackers target Poonam Pandey

Model and actress Poonam Pandey has alleged that her website was hacked from Pakistan on Republic Day. Pandey, who has filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell of BKC police, claimed the hackers have posted slogans on her website supporting the Kashmir issue.

Model and actress Poonam Pandey has alleged that her website was hacked from Pakistan on Republic Day. Pandey, who has filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell of BKC police, claimed the hackers have posted slogans on her website supporting  the Kashmir issue.
An upset Pandey twitted: “On my way to the Cyber Crime cell to lodge a complaint. Really upset! & scared.. My website is hacked... It says to Raise Voice for Kashmir!... don’t know what to do? ALERT! ALERT! HELP HELP... My website got hacked & they have asked to raise voice for Kashmir: what to do? Plz Help.”  
“We have filed a complaint and started our investigations. We will track down the hackers soon. It’s a very serious issue,” said senior inspector Nand Kishore More.  
Pandey’s lawyer Prashant Mali said, “Our technical team has traced the source of hacking to Pakistan and the IP address is of the US, which can be masked. We have lodged a complaint under section 66 (hacking of computer system with the intention to cause damage to the person, by altering any information residing in a computer resource. Whoever commits this shall be punished with imprisonment up to three years, or with fine which may extend up to two lakh rupees, or with both) of the IT Act 2000.”
Mali added the hackers have been identified as Rummy Khan, Pakistani Cracker, Pak Haxor, Hunter Khan, and Mind Cracker. “Our research team has also found out that they hacked the sites of other celebrities as well — singer Daler Mehndi, politician Poonam Mahajan Rao, singer Raghav Sachar, and actress Suneeta Rao,” he said.
