Shetty was murdered near Yogiraj hall in Talegaon Dhabade.

The Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) anti-corruption branch (ACB), Pune, announced a Rs5 lakh award for any information regarding the murder of right to information (RTI) activist, Satish Bhojya Shetty, on January 13, 2010.
Shetty was murdered near Yogiraj hall in Talegaon Dhabade.
According to the CBI, anybody giving credible information regarding the accused involved in the crime leading to their arrest will be given Rs5 lakh, while the identity of the informant will be kept secret.
The information may be communicated to the superintendent of police, CBI, ACB, GPOA, Kendriya Sadan, A-Wing, Opposite Akurdi Railway Station, Pune.
