The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has taken cognisance of the Bandra residents' complaints on the ramp constructed by actor Shah Rukh Khan adjoining his Bandra bungalow Mannat.

After the area's BJP member of parliament Poonam Mahajan approached civic chief Sitaram Kunte, the corporation had issued a show cause notice to Khan and has sought his reply on the issue within seven days.
The ramp is used by Khan to park his vanity van and residents allege that the ramp has been built illegally without the necessary BMC permissions. They have accused the actor of encroaching upon the road in front of his house.

Mahajan in her letter also opposed to the BMC's decision of reducing the cement road from 9.15 metre to 6.15 metre, reasoning that it will highly inconvenience residents using the road, especially during the Mount Mary fair, held during September every year.

According to residents, they have long been complaining to the civic authorities about the ramp, but no action was taken so far. It was only then that they approached Mahajan, who wrote to Kunte.
