Ashutosh Kaushik wins Bigg Boss

It was ex-Roadies Ashutosh Kaushik who walked out of the Bigg Boss house at Lonavla, victorious. The esrtwhile dhaba owner from Uttar Pradesh was ecstatic.

“My victory should send a message to the people in small towns — that we can make it big,” he said.

Ashutosh added that it was unbelievable that till a few months ago, he didn’t have a roof over his head and slept on the streets of Mumbai. “I hope my victory changes my life. There is a lot to do — buy a new home with the prize money and, perhaps, star in a comedy track with Akshay Kumar,” he smiles.

Ashutosh’s family couldn’t have been happier. His mother believes it was Rahul Mahajan’s support that turned the tables for him. After Mahajan was evicted, he promised that he would do his best to garner support for Kaushik since he needed the money the most. “As I heard that, I knew my son would make it,” she said.

Ashutosh believes it was his frankness and the fact that he was himself on the show that won hearts. Regarding the controversy about him being flirtatious with Diana Hayden on the show, Ashutosh dismissed it as “all in good humour”. “I told her she should tie a rakhi on my wrist. Only then will people believe us,” he smiles.
