3 constables booked for robbing woman of Rs 8.50 L in Thane

Thane police has booked three constables for allegedly robbing Rs 8.50 lakh in the form of demonetized Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes from a woman on November 20.

The three accused, identified as constable Prashant Vispute, Ramdas Shinde and Pathan posted at the Naya Nagar police station under Bhayander division had intercepted three persons including the woman during the night patrolling on November 20. During the search the demonetised currency worth Rs 20 lakh, was found with woman.
