Bhumika Advani, 11, is dead, but her vision is still alive! The grief-stricken parents of Bhumika have donated their daughter's eyes after she died in a tragic manner while playing in the school on Wednesday.

Bhumika, daughter of businessman Rahul Advani, was a student of Jaihind High School and used to study in standard V. She was a bright student.

While playing during the physical training (PT) period, Bhumika suddenly became unconscious on the school ground. By the time she was taken to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital, the girl died.

Recalling the incident, the school principal, Jyotika Malkani, told DNA the before the PT period began at 9.30 am, the PT teacher had asked the students not to take part in activities if they had health problems.

"Bhumika did not say anything at that time. At 9.45 am, the girls were asked to complete a round on the ground. When the girls started running, Bhumika collapsed and then tried to stand up, but again collapsed. As she became unconscious, the PT staff immediately sprinkled water on her face,'' she said.

In the meantime, her parents were called and the girl was taken to Jijamata Hospital. "Since her condition was critical, the doctors asked her to be admitted at YCMH. But she died on the way,'' she lamented.
