Elton John-David Furnish's son gets a godmother in Lady Gaga

Elton John and husband David Furnish have revealed in an interview that they have chosen Lady Gaga to be their baby boy's godmother.

Speaking to host Barbara Walters on the ABC News programme, the couple said that the pop singer was not a strange choice to serve as godmother to their son.

"When you get to the real person underneath, there's a very simple New York girl who loves her parents," News.com.au quoted John as saying.

"I love her to death and a lot of people said, 'oh, you know, that's crazy,' but they don't know her and we do," he added.

The baby boy Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John was born through surrogacy on Christmas Day last year.
