On the last day of electioneering in Rajasthan Assembly elections, BJP national president Amit Shah claimed that BJP will once again form the government in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Shah alleged, “Congress has tried to raise issues of traditional casteism, nepotism and appeasement during the election campaign, while we campaigned on the development of Rajasthan, future of Rajasthan and the issues of poor welfare. We have made ‘Politics of Development’ the main issue in the entire campaign,” he said while addressing media on Wednesday in Jaipur.

Congress carried forward the politics of allegations and is seeking votes on the basis of caste and religion during the entire election campaign, Shah added. “They used abusive language for Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” the BJP national president said.

Taking a dig at Congress he said, the situation in the party is so bad that they could not decide CM candidate in Rajasthan. Every leader in each district is calling himself a CM candidate and seeking votes, Shah added. “The people of the state know very well that the Congress has neither a policy nor a leader. Neither principle nor discipline.”

We have focused the entire election campaign on a constructive and positive agenda. We are confident that BJP will form the government with full majority once again in the state. Once again Rajasthan is going to meet Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s Double Engine Growth Train, he said.

On the question of UP’s Bulandshahr violence, Shah said, “It is a very unfortunate incident. UP CM Yogi Adityanath has formed the SIT for investigation and officials are investigating the incident. It is not appropriate for me to give it a political colour, which the Congress is trying to do.” During the campaigning, we have received a lot of support from the beneficiaries of the schemes of both the Central and State governments and this enthusiasm of the beneficiaries has changed poll maths, said Shah.
