Merchant Navy engineer killed in accident; Delhi businessman held

A chief engineer of Merchant Navy was killed and his family injured when a car on test-drive hit his vehicle here, as a Delhi-based businessman has been arrested in this connection, police said today.

Avinash Saha (47) along with his wife, Kamal, and 14-year-old daughter Riya, was going towards Sohna, 20 km from here, when an Audi crashed into his car yesterday.

The three were taken to a hospital where doctors declared Saha as brought dead. Kamal and Riya were still under treatment, and their condition was stated to be out of danger, they added.

According to police, a businessman from Delhi, Sanjeev Mittal, was arrested last night in this connection, but was granted bail today.
