Shashi Tharoor to set up school for communication

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dubai-based Afras projects India (P) Ltd, headed by former UN Under Secretary General Shashi Tharoor, has inked an agreement with Technopark here to set up an academy for communication skills.
    
The agreement for the Academy for Personality Development and Communication (APDC) was signed by Tharoor and Technopark CEO R K Nair on Monday, a Technopark release said here on Wednesday.
    
The project is envisaged as a world class training centre to develop English speaking skills of young IT professionals focusing on quality capacity building.
    
Besides job-seeking youth studying in universities would also have access to the academy.
    
American speech specialist and speech trainer Tina Parsons would be leading the institute.
    
The institute is expected to be inaugurated by March next year.
