The Lucknow Development Authority will provide accommodation to 4500 people under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme.
For allotment of houses in LDA's Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a lottery system will be held from February 9 to February 12. After the lottery, people will be given the possession of their houses within 6 months. The Lucknow Development Authority will provide accommodation to 4500 people under the scheme.
The LDA had registered for houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana between July 20 and October 31, 2020. Registration was also opened for 2256 and same number of houses in Sharda Nagar Extension under Basant Kunj Yojana. A total of 6985 people have applied for houses and got the applicants examined from Suda.
In this investigation, applications of only 62 people were found wrong. The application of those who are not eligible for houses has been rejected. All these houses will be allotted by lottery.
The lottery for the applicants of Basant Kunj Yojana will be in Jupiter Hall of Indira Gandhi Foundation from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on February 9 and February 10.
The lottery for those applying for houses under the Sharda Nagar Vistar Yojana will be from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on February 11 and 12 in the same hall of the Indira Gandhi Foundation.
LDA Secretary Pawan Gangwar said that there will be a complete recording of the lottery process. People will also be able to see it online.
Two contenders for each house in Sharda Nagar Extension
A total of 4248 people applied for 2256 houses in Sharda Nagar expansion. Of these, applications from 4202 people have been found correct. There have been 1946 applications more than the number of vacant houses. Hence it will be very difficult to get a house here.
While 2737 people applied for 2256 houses of Basant Kunj Hardoi Road Scheme. Out of this, 2721 applicants have got right. There are only 465 applications more than vacant houses here. Getting houses under the Vasant Kunj scheme is more likely.
