A man allegedly killed his live-in partner in Bengaluru by hitting her with a pressure cooker after the couple had an argument on Saturday evening. The police have arrested the man on Sunday.  The couple reportedly lived at Mico Layout in Begur for the last two years.

The girl, identified as Deva, hailed from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala while the boy, Vaishnav was from Kollam in Kerala. The neighbours have reportedly told the police that the duo used to quarrel often but they did not file any complaints.

CK Baba, senior police officer of South Bengaluru told ANI, "Vaishnav had some doubts about the deceased, and they fought over it. On Sunday, this happened again, and he hit the woman with a cooker."

After being on the run after the incident, Vaishnav was arrested by the police on Sunday and a murder case has been registered. A police officer told the media, "We have arrested him and interrogation is on."

Vaishnav was allegedly suspected of infidelity and hence, the two were fighting, as per Indian Express's reports. On Saturday, Deva's sister came to visit the couple and counselled them but after she left the two engaged in another fight. The fight led to Vaishnav beating Deva with a pressure cooker several times till she died.
