Four children met their watery grave while two others were saved in river Yamuna in Mathura district today, police said.
Six children, in the age group 8 to 10 years and resident of Toly Mohalla Naujheel town, had gone to Adda Ferozpur village for grazing their goats and they went to the river for bath.
Two children were saved as they had not gone into deep water, deputy superintendent of police Yogendra Nath Rawat said.
The villagers blocked the road at Bajna-Tiraha alleging that children had died because they were not given oxygen on time.
