The inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and 20-year-old Sumit were killed when a mob attacked policemen over alleged cow slaughter on December 3.
There is no mob lynching in UP. The Bulandshahr incident was an accident, and the law is taking its course, reported Indian Express quoting Yogi.
He also said that those responsible will not be spared.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister reportedly made the comment while speaking at an event in the national capital. His reaction came a day after he met the family members of the slain inspector.
On Thursday, Adityanath met Singh's wife and the two sons at his Kalidas Marg residence.
UP Director General of Police O P Singh, who was also present at the meeting, said Adityanath assured the family that education and house loans taken by them would be paid off by the government.
Adityanath had Monday declared compensation of Rs 40 lakh for the wife, Rs 10 lakh for the parents and a government job for a family member of the inspector, who was the initial investigating officer in the 2015 Akhlaq lynching case.
Meanwhile, a police team has been sent to Jammu to nab an Army soldier who is one of the accused in the murder of a police inspector during mob violence.
Army soldier Jeetu Fauji is a named accused in Singh's murder, he said at a briefing when asked about his alleged involvement in the case as reported in a section of media. The SIT team will investigate into the actual role of Fauji in the case, he said.
DIG Crime SK Bhagat said five more arrests have been made in connection with Inspector Subodh Singh's death, taking the number of those arrested to nine.
