A day after the arrest of Sachin Andure in Narendra Dabholkar murder case, the CBI counsel of today told the court that Andure underwent weapon shooting training in Maharashtra and Karnataka before he executed the plan of killing Dabholkar along with one more assailant.

Andure, resident of Aurangabad was arrested by the CBI on Saturday for his alleged role in shooting Dabholkar on August 20, 2013 while he was on a morning walk in Pune. Following the arrest, Andure was produced before the special judge Archana Mujumdar on Sunday.
During the argument, public prosecutor told the court that Andure and one more person shot at Dabholkar. "Anudre is one of the two assailants who shot at Dabholkar. He underwent shooting training in some places of Maharashtra as well as Karnataka before actually executing the plan. The CBI now need to investigate about the places where he underwent the training and also will have to find out about the persons who provided him and another shooter the required infrastructure," Vijaykumar Dhakane, the public prosecutor said.
The CBI has already arrested Sanatan Sanstha member Virendra Tawde in the same case in 2016. In the chargesheet submitted by the CBI following the arrest of Tawde, CBI has named him as the main conspirator of the killing of Dabholkar. The public prosecutor reiterated Tawde's role in the killing plot. "Entire conspiracy was hatched by Tawde, Andure and other persons which needs to be unearth," the public prosecutor told the court while demanding 14 days police custody for Andure.
The defence counsel opposed the 14 days custody for Andure and questioned his arrest by the CBI. "After arresting Tawde, the CBI filed the chargesheet in which it has given the sketches of the accused prepared on the basis of the description given by seven to eight witnesses. CBI claimed that these sketches were of Sarang Akolkar and Vinod Pawar. Now suddenly CBI has floated a new theory that Andure is one of the shooters. Andure's physical characteristics does not even match with the sketches which CBI has," defence counsel Prakash Salsingikar argued.
The public prosecutor however, told the court that the chargesheet submitted by the CBI only has the mention of resemblance of the sketches with Akolkar and Pawar but they have not been named as accused in the chargesheet.
Defence lawyer also argued that the chargesheet submitted by CBI following the arrest of Tawde does not even have mention of Andure and there is no connection of Andure with the crime.
The special judge Archana Mujumdar remanded Andure police custody till August 26.
