The makers of 'Lucifer' have paid an ode to Stanley Kubrick's 'The Shining', which featured Jack Nicholson in the lead role. The show very smartly placed the lead characters Tom Ellis and Lauren German in a scene which was adapted by 'The Shining'.

The scene we are talking about appears in episode 7 of 'Lucifer'. Remember how Jack Nicholson's little son loved to play on his tricycle around the hotel room where the family was staying? Remember the flashes he saw, of the twin girls?

Similarly, Tom Ellis and Lauren German, who play the roles of Lucifer Morning, also known as 'The Devil', and Detective Chloe Decker, appeared in front of a little kid who was riding a similar tricycle. Moreover, the scene was also set in a hotel, but with a modern design.

Interestingly, Lucifer and Chloe appear at the hotel room after finding out about a murderer. On the other hand, the kid had visuals where he could sense that a murder was about to take place, and his life too was in danger. Co-incidentally, Lucifer loses his voice in the scene later, something which even happens when the little boy in 'The Shining' gets visuals.

'Lucifer' season 5 part 1 has released, and it features eight episodes of one hour each. Every episode is helmed by a different director. While part 1 has released, talks of Lucifer season 5 part 2 have begun, and the same is expected to release by the end of the year or beginning of next year, depending on the schedule.
