As an investigation into toxic workplace claims of The Ellen DeGeneres Show is underway, people have been sharing an old clip of Mariah Carey from one of the episodes. In the clip, the singer was allegedly forced to drink a glass of champagne by Ellen to prove her pregnancy states. Carey was indeed pregnant back then and suffered from a miscarriage shortly after the interview took place. Now, the Instagram page of Diet Prada shared an old clip and Mariah's recent interview in which she recalled Ellen incident as 'extremely uncomfortable'.

Mariah stated, "I was extremely uncomfortable with that moment is all I can say. And I really have had a hard time grappling with the aftermath."

Talking about her miscarriage, the 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' singer said, "I wasn’t ready to tell anyone because I had had a miscarriage. I don’t want to throw anyone that’s already being thrown under any proverbial bus, but I didn’t enjoy that moment."

Mariah concluded by saying, "An empathy that can be applied to those moments that I would have liked to have been implemented. But what am I supposed to do?"

This incident took place in 2008.

Four years later in 2012, Mariah visited the sets of The Ellen Show while being pregnant with twins. She was once again offered a drink by Ellen and this time apple cider. The comedian is heard telling, "It’s apple cider, you have a baby, why would I give you anything else?"

Earlier while getting bashed by the off-screen working culture of her show, Ellen had said in a statement, "She began, "On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that The Ellen DeGeneres Show would be a place of happiness no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect. Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry. Anyone who knows me knows it's the opposite of what I believe and what I hoped for our show."
