Last month, it was confirmed that Ben Affleck has hanged his cape as he won't be returning as Batman in the upcoming standalone superhero movie. He played the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice released in 2016. Ben also reprised his role in 2017's Justice League. Now, Ben has finally decided to not return as Batman, which disappointed several fans. It's still not confirmed who will be playing the young Batman in Matt Reeves' directorial.

Recently, Ben made an appearance on the talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he was bombarded with questions about Batman. Affleck stated, "I tried to direct a version of it and worked with a really good screenwriter, but just couldn't come up with a version, I couldn't crack it. So I thought it was time to let someone else take a shot at it. They got some really good people so I'm excited."

When Jimmy asked Ben his parting words, the handsome actor replied, "I don't know? I guess I'm not Batman."

A few days back, one of the international portals tweeted, "‘The Batman’ To Fly In Summer 2021; Ben Affleck Passes The Torch To Next Generation Of Bruce Wayne". Ben replied to their tweet saying, "Excited for #TheBatman in Summer 2021 and to see @MattReevesLA vision come to life."

The Batman, which is the title for the film, is set to hit the screens on June 25, 2021.
