'Sawaari' actress Sanam Shetty says Sridevi is her role model

Actress Sanam Shetty, who was the first runner-up at Miss South India 2016, is excited about her upcoming release Sawaari. “It's a very special film for me. I have no doubt that the audience will love this Hollywood-style film as it’s a totally different genre. Director Guhan and cameraman Chezian have done a brilliant job," she said.

"I play the love interest of hero Benito.The story unfolds on the day of the wedding so there are a lot of unexpected twists which are very interesting," she adds.

Talking about the most unforgettable moment in the film, the actress recounts the catamaran ride for the duet song in Sawaari. "It was my first ride on a catamaran and it was a scary experience as I kept falling off!"

So who is her role model? "I'm a die hard fan of Sridevi. I admire her a lot and at times, I try to imitate her acting too! I wish I get opportunities that will prove my passion for acting," she says. Among the actors, her favourite is Madhavan, she says, praising his work in Irudhi Suttru. 

The actress also thanked Thenandal films for releasing Sawaari. "With the audience craving for good quality films 'Sawari' will be a perfect film for them.  I would also like to make a special mention about actor Arya. It was a kind gesture of  his to launch our teaser and support the young team," she adds. Sawaari  will hit screens in mid-March.
