Film: Kendasampige (Kannada)
Cast: Vicky, Manvitha Harish, Prakash Belvadi, Rajesh Nataranga, Chandrika and Sheetal Shetty.
Director: Suri
Rating: 4/5

What's it about:
Director Suri’s latest film begins with three corrupt police inspectors travelling to a remote place to hide Rs 40 crore they've received from a drug kingpin. In an inebriated condition, one of them makes nasty comments on the Police Commissioner Surya Prakash (Prakash Belvadi). Later, one of the police inspectors informs the police commissioner.

Meanwhile, the director shifts the scene to another location where two lovers Gowri (Manvitha) and Ravindra (Vicky) are busy shopping. Gowri’s mother Shakuntala Shetty (Chandrika), happens to see them and seeks the Police Commissioner's help to keep Ravindra away from her daughter. As expected, a false case is booked against Ravindra and the court sentences him to two years in prison. But on the way, Ravindra has an opportunity to take the police inspector’s pistol and threaten him. What happens to the police inspector and whether or not the lovers are united forms the rest of the plot.

What's hot:
Director Suri, who did a commendable job in his previous films Duniya and Inthi Ninna Preethiya some years ago, deserves appreciation for ensuring that the screenplay in this film is crisp. He has succeeded in exploiting the acting skills of all the artistes in the film. Newcomers Vicky and Manvitha compete with each other in acting and their dialogue delivery skills are quite good. Prakash Belvadi, after his sterling performance in Aatagaara, has proved his mettle once again in this film. Rajesh Nataranga is also convincing as the assistant police commissioner who wants to help the innocent lovers. Chandrika and Sheetal Shetty provide good support, while cinematographer Satya Hegde does a good job behind the camera.

What to do:
It may not be an exaggeration to say that this film is one of the best movies directed by Suri. It is a must watch.
