Forever romantic!

Four years ago singer Sonu Kakkar and her husband Neeraj Sharma met each other at a social gathering. “When we first met, there was something special. It was a formal chat and both of us had a great time,” Sonu says.

They started talking over the phone and one day, the ice broke.

“He SMSed me that he is in love with me. I didn’t know how to react to that statement. When I spoke to him, I was blushing and asked whether he was joking. But he responded that he was dead serious. Somewhere in the corner of my heart, I knew that I liked him a lot. And I nodded,” she adds.

Unlike the couples who take time to get in sync with each other, Sonu and Neeraj decided to get married within six months. Since the families already knew each other very well, there were no hiccups at all. “He told his family and when they came to know about it, they were  more than elated with the union. We then got married.”

The surprises in their romance haven’t stopped. Neeraj still showers her with things. “He’s becoming more and more romantic with each passing day. He books tickets to Goa all of a sudden and takes me for a romantic getaway.  When I reach there, waits with some gift or surprise. Our romance is very hot and happening,” she says.

Neeraj echoes his wife’s words. “Our bonding is extremely strong. We know we want to grow old together. Marriage has cemented our relationship and love has just become stronger with time,” he says.

It’s almost three years that they have been married. Is there any plans to extend the family? “We will at least take another two years. Right now we want to enjoy just each others company,” Sonu ends.
