When Anil Kapoor REFUSED to play Sonam Kapoor's father onscreen

Abhishek Bachchan has a  very funny story about Anil Kapoor. An insider overheard this and told us, “Abhishek had once accompanied directors Abbas Mastan to narrate a script (Players) to Kapoor. They wanted him to play father to Sonam. Anil retorted in horror “How can I play father to Sonam? The public will never accept me as the father of a grown up girl! “

The irony was completely lost on him and Abhishek says “I fell in love with him that day onwards!”

Everyone who knows AK has similar stories to tell. But now there are reports that he is  playing father to his own son Harshavardhan Kapoor. Hopefully, the audience will accept them as baap-beta!
