She’s got a face that lights up the covers of a 1,000 mags, a body that’s a perfect 10 and to top it, there’s that glorious mane that has, in a few movies, driven us to the point of distraction (cue in her short hairstyle in Karthik calling Karthik or long, wavy locks in Dum Maaro Dum among other films).

But just as easily as she wears her long locks, there’s a finicky hair care regime the actor follows to maintain her crowning glory, as DNA finds out...

As an actor, you are used to having your hair pulled and tugged and treated violently. Any hair scare experiences you’ve had...
I’ve fortunately never had a bad hair experience!

The strict hair care regime you follow involves...
I believe in keeping it simple and not doing too much. That said, I make sure I invest in regular deep conditioning massages with coconut-based hair oil, and that is my secret to keeping my hair voluminous, thick and full of bounce. This industry demands that you always look your best, and if you want to have the world’s best hair, this is my non- negotiable hair care ritual.

A haircare ritual that you’ve sincerely followed since childhood...
I have cherished deep conditioning my hair with coconut-based hair oil.

Between hair oil or hair conditioner you’d prefer...
I  would prefer hair oil, which nourishes my hair from within and brings back my volume and bounce.

Ok, so when you go shopping for hair care products, do you read the label or are you impulsive...

Oh yes, I do read the label but most often I stick to what suits my hair and I tend to prefer coconut-based hair products.

Talking about hair styles, you prefer wearing your hair...

long and voluminous.

When you go for a haircut, your brief to the hairstylist is...
I generally go in just for a trim. I love long hair so I tell my hairstylist to trim it without losing the length.

We’re sure you love your hair spas. How often do you get one and what does it entail?
My hair spa consists of a deep conditioning massage with coconut oil followed by a hot towel wrap. I try and get this done as often as possible.

A celebrity you think has the best hairstyle...

Dimpleji according to me has amazing hair. It is thick and voluminous! There you go... I just passed on a compliment!
