Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone are two of the biggest global stars today. Not just Bollywood, the two heroines are conquering foreign soil too, with their international achievements and appearances.

While DP and PC both are doing their bits in putting India on the global map, there's something that happened recently which became the talking point. Deepika was mistakenly called Priyanka by a certain section of foreign media.

It's no doubt that PC is a bigger international star because of her leading lady stint on a popular TV series like Quantico whereas DP just made her Hollywood debut with Vin Diesel starrer xXx 3. PC too is making her debut in Baywatch opposite Dwayne Johnson.

But both the actresses had spoken against the media referring Deepika as Priyanka. Dippy addressed the issue and said, "It's not just about me being offended. It's you all in this room who should be offended. It's not just ignorance, it's also racist. Two people of similar colour are not the same people. So, you as fellow Indians should actually be calling them out and educating them instead of encouraging it. Ignorance is ignorance. I feel bad for them."

Priyanka commented too."That's just ignorance and I feel really bad. It's not right. I guess I am the most popular brown face but guys, every brown girl does not look the same. That was not fair and she is a massive star from India. I also understand because when I went to America for the first time, I used to walk into the room and introduce myself. I don't expect them to know me. She has a film released but I still don't have one. My film is releasing now. Just because I'm popular in India doesn't mean the world has to know me. I guess that is also another aspect of it. But yeah, we don't look the same."

We conducted a poll and asked fans to tell us if they feel what foreign media did was racism, ignorance or just an honest mistake. The fans have voted and the results are out. While 27% people don't even care, 20% believe it was an honest mistake on the foreign media's part. But 24% of the voters do consider it a sort of racism. Whereas 29% (the majority here) feel that it's plain and simple ignorance on the part of international media.
