Big Cinemas to market Surya starring 'Singam' in USA

Big Cinemas will release and market the theatrical rights of Tamil film Singam starring Surya in USA.

The film starring Surya, Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj and Vivek is directed by Hari and releases on June 28.

"Singam is Surya's 25th film. Singam revolves around smuggling activities taking place in Rameshwaram. Surya plays a cop after the stupendous hit Khaaka Khaaka and the film is expected to have the right mix of sentiments and comedy like all other Hari films," a Big Cinemas statement issued here today said.

BIG Cinemas is planning to release the film at more than 30 screens across 24 locations /cities in USA, the biggest ever release of a Tamil film in US. These include 10 own locations of BIG Cinemas US.

BIG Cinemas is also hosting a 'Surya searches for his biggest fan in US' contest which began on May 23 and will go on till June 7.

Surya himself selects the winner, who gets to exclusively video chat with him and autographed Singam movie merchandise which includes the police uniform and accessories worn by Surya himself, it said.
