Anurag Kashyap's 'Shaitan' promises to be a cool entertaining thriller

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has announced that his next production Shaitan is an exciting thriller based on teenage angst and rebellious attitudes of youth in large cities, where one night of drunken partying leads to twists in events.

The film aims to prove that there's a devil in all of us and marks the directorial debut of Bejoy Nambiar, who earlier assisted director Mani Ratnam in Guru and Raavan, producer Kashyap said.

He feels the film will not disappoint the audience and said it will be one of the most thrilling and entertaining films of recent times.

"This is a film I am extremely excited with... made by a director I think is far superior to most filmmakers in the business, including me. Shaitan is the coolest, most exciting and stylish new thriller I have seen in a long time. I'm proud to be a producer on it," Kashyap said.

Starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Kalki Koechlin, Neil Bhoopalam (of LSD fame), Shiv Pandit, Kirti Kulhari and Gulshan Devaiah, the film co-produced by Viacom 18, will release on June 10.
