Delhi: Change in plan to meet another friend proves lucky for Afsar

Among all the debris of tragedy there was a happy reunion when a 32-year-old woman who was frantically looking for her son eventually found him in the evening.

Nazma Fatoon, the mother who kept running helter skelter with her son's Aadhaar card and asking rescuers if anyone had seen him around.

"My son comes to play in this area where the building collapsed and had a friend living in the same building. In the morning he left the house informing that he is going to play. When he didn't return back by 11am. I got worried," said Fatoon.

She immediately rushed to the area as her son Afsar(11) had come to his friend's house in the area.

"I saw the entire building had collapsed and my son had come to the same house. I searched for him in the entire area but couldn't find him," said Fatoon.

Finally at around 7pm, Fatoon waited for the debris to be cleared but still couldn't find her son.

"However, Afsar returned back home and stated that he was supposed to go the building which collapsed but while on his way he changed his mind and went to his some other friends house," said Fatoon.

Finally she could breathe a sight of relief.
