Meet mother of world's richest man's 'secret twins', know her India connection

Shivon Zilis first grabbed attention as a rising star of the venture capital world. The top woman executive was recently seen with world’s richest man Elon Musk and their secret twins for the first time. Zilis, who is a Director at leading brain technology company Neuralink, was reportedly not involved romantically with Musk. The couple allegedly conceived the secret twins via the in vitro fertilisation method, Zilis had reportedly told her co-workers.

A pic of Musk and Zilis with their twins born in November 2021 was recently shared by biographer Walter Isaacson. The journalist-author who has been tracking the Tesla and SpaceX chief's life for around three years also wrote the bestselling autobiography of Apple founder Steve Jobs. In the pic, the twins are 16 months old and sitting on the laps of Zilis and Musk. The secret twins are among nine children fathered by the world's richest man.

Who is Shivon Zilis?

Little is known about Zilis and Musk’s relationship. Zilis was born to a Punjabi Indian mother and a Canadian father in Markham, Ontario, Canada. She is an alumna of the prestigious Yale University in the US holding economics and philosophy degrees. She began her career at IT giant IBM. She is a venture capitalist focusing on artificial intelligence. 

Zilis works as Director of Operations and Special Projects at Elon Musk-owned Neuralink. She and Musk reportedly met through work at the non-profit OpenAI. She has earlier worked at Tesla too. The photo of Zilis and Musk with their secret twins is from Zilis’ home in Austin Texas where the Tesla CEO invited the biographer for a chat.
