Varun Jaipuria is the promoter and executive vice chairman of Varun Beverages Limited which produces, bottles and distributes beverages. He is the son of Indian billionaire businessman Ravi Jaipuria, who is India's richest man in the food and beverage industry. Ravi Jaipuria has a real-time net worth of Rs 93,130 crore as of August 19, 2023, according to Forbes.

Varun Jaipuria has been actively working with the company since 2009. The company has a market capitalisation of Rs 1,17,000 crore as of August 18, 2023. The share price of the company was Rs 898.50 on Friday. Varun is a Harvard alumnus of the 2018-2019 batch.

He had attended the Program for Leadership Development (PLD) at Harvard Business School, Boston. He has been instrumental in the comprehensive development of the company’s business including acquisitions and integration of acquired territories. 

Under his leadership, Varun Beverages was awarded PepsiCo’s Best Bottler in AMESA (Africa, Middle East and South Asia) sector in 2021 in recognition of the company’s operational excellence, governance practices and sustainability initiatives.

 

 

The company is a subsidiary of RJ Corp and was named after Varun by his father Ravi Jaipuria, who is known as India's cola king. The company was incorporated in 1995. It is the second largest bottling company of PepsiCo's beverages in the world outside the United States. Some popular products of the company are Pepsi, Mirinda and Slice. It has been associated with PepsiCo since the 1990s.
