At the age of 16, Rikant observed that his father frequently traveled and always reserved his tickets through a travel agency. Everything changed one day when Rikant discovered his travel agent was asking Rs 1500 more than what he was finding online for the same ticket when he examined the pricing of the same tickets online.

Since his older brother graduated from IIT, there were high expectations for Rikant as well. He had to take a year off for it, which later turned out to be a wise choice. While he had other plans, his father wanted him to become a pilot or engineer and travel overseas. As soon as Rikant began purchasing tickets for his parents, calls from all of his family members to purchase tickets followed.

While hiding the gig from his father, Rikant decided to complete his undergraduate studies at Kurukshetra University. In the meantime, he co-founded the business with his brother Nishant, and they also launched Duke Travels. He promoted his services through bulk SMS. With barely $50,000, Rinkant and his brother converted and founded EaseMyTrip.com when he was 20 years old.

Duke Travels changed its name to EaseMyTrip as it expanded. Speaking of their USP, Rikant claims that their lowest prices and lack of a convenience or processing fee are their main selling features. Rikant's situation was improving as they began to grow and their father, to a lesser extent, gave his approval.

With the help of Air Deccan, they formed a partnership, acquired a booking service from them on a commission basis, and began interacting with travel brokers to make sales. At that time, Air Deccan began offering flights for between 500 and 700 rupees.

Unfortunately, Air Deccan ceased providing cheap tickets, which left them in a bind because it was difficult to make enough sales without them. Their company was about to go out of business. They reduced their fees and added more travel agents who may assist them in achieving their goal.

EaseMyTrip is currently the second-largest and most prosperous online travel agency in India. Pitti recently published a picture of a Lamborghini Urus Performante on LinkedIn. According to Carwale.com, this high-end vehicle is valued at about Rs 4.22 crore.

He said in his long post that he had always wanted a Lamborghini. He intended for his post to serve as motivation for others to pursue their passions. He added that he had the option of purchasing it in 2021, but he chose to donate oxygen concentrators to numerous NGOs and hospitals during Covid-19 times.
