Fuel prices Feb 10 update: Petrol in Mumbai crosses Rs 94, diesel approaches Rs 85

Petrol Price 10 February 2021 Update: Petrol and diesel prices rose for the second consecutive day on Wednesday by 30 paise each. Petrol is already being sold at a record price in Delhi and due to rising prices, it is reaching a new all-time high. Petrol has also crossed Rs 94 per litre in Mumbai, diesel has also reached the new sky of inflation.

Will petrol and diesel prices rise further?

In the global market, crude oil prices have been on a rise, due to which the prices of petrol and diesel in India have been on fire. Crude oil crossed $60 on Monday, the highest level of the year after January 2020. On Monday, crude oil rose more than 2 percent, and experts have predicted that now it can go up to $61. If this happens, the prices of petrol and diesel may also increase in future. However, crude prices are currently stable at around $58.

Petrol on record high

Petrol has become costlier by 30 paise to Rs 87.60 per litre in Delhi, which is a new record. It has reached Rs 94.12 per litre in Mumbai, in Kolkata, it is being sold at Rs 88.92 per litre and in Chennai, the price of petrol today is Rs 89.96 per litre.

Petrol and diesel fire in the new year

Petrol prices were increased by 15 days in January and February, but during this time, petrol has become expensive by Rs 3.89 per litre. On January 1, the price of petrol in Delhi was Rs 83.71, today it is Rs 87.60 per litre. Similarly, from January 1 to today, diesel has become expensive by Rs 3.86 per litre. On January 1, the price of diesel in Delhi was Rs 73.87 per litre, today it is Rs 77.73.

On the other hand, diesel prices have also reached new highs. Diesel in Mumbai is Rs 84.63 per litre, which is the most expensive rate so far. Diesel is also priced at Rs 77.73 per litre in Delhi, Rs 81.31 per litre in Kolkata and petrol in Chennai at Rs 82.90 per litre.
