When Ayushmann Khurrana mistook Shraddha Kapoor for Alia Bhatt at IIFA Awards 2018

IIFA Awards 2018 was recently held in Bangkok and like every year this time too it was one helluva star-studded affair. While several big names like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan chose to skip it, actors like Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Ranbir Kapoor, Rekha, Karthik Aryan and Ayushmann Khurrana ensured that the event was a huge hit.

For the first-time ever, the dynamic duo of Kartik Aaryan and Ayushmann Khurrana teamed up as hosts. They surely entertained the audience with their camaraderie and comic timing but there was one thing that went terribly wrong. 

A Mumbai Mirror report suggests that while summoning Shraddha Kapoor on the stage for her act, Ayushmann Khurrana addressed her as Alia Bhatt by mistake and it got really embarassing for everyone. Ayushmann instantly realized his goof-up and stayed mum for 2 minutes. But, Shraddha being the sweet heart that she is, made light of the situation by bursting out into a loud laughter. She made sure that Ayushmann, who was seemingly disappointed in himself, joined in too. 

The night featured mesmeric performances from Bollywood superstars including veteran actor Rekha, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, and Lulia Vantur.
