Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is awaiting the release of his next film The Vaccine War, based on India's battle againt Covid-19. Touted to be India's first bio-science film, The Vaccine War features Pallavi Joshi, Nana Patekar, Raima Sen, Anupam Kher, Girija Oak, Sapthami Gowda, and Mohan Kapur in the leading roles and will release worldwide in cinemas on September 28.
The director held an #AskVRA session on his X (previously known as Twitter) account on Saturday, September 2, in which he answered questions from his followers and other X users. When one of them claimed that The Vaccine War won't succeed at the box office like The Kashmir Files, Vivek gave him a classy reply.
"#AskVRA The Vaccine War The Kashmir Files jaisi nahi chalegi kyunki isme woh baat nahi hai toh ye film 40 cr se (zyaada) nahi kar paayegi (The Vaccine War won't work like The Kashmir Files as it doesn't have that unique aspect, it won't be able to do over Rs 40 crore", wrote the netizen. Replying to him, the Hate Story director wrote, "12.50 crore ki film hai. Hum BO ke liye film banate bhi nahin hain. Jo ho so bhala. Jo na ho so bhi bhala (The film has been made in a budget of Rs 12.50 crore. We don't make films for the box office. Whatever happens, it's good. Whatever doesn't happen, that's also good)".
