Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja celebrated their son Vayu's first birthday. The actress took to Instagram and dropped adorable photos.
On Sunday, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, son of actress Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, turned one. On Monday, the couple shared photos from their son's birthday celebration at their Delhi home.
Sonam posted several pictures from the party on her Instagram account. Little Vayu was dressed in a turquoise kurta and white slacks, while the family chose traditional attire. Vayu was being held by Sonam and Anand during the puja at their house in the first picture. One photograph included members of both Anand and Sonam's families including Sunita and Anil Kapoor. Another unposed image of Sonam smiling and having fun with Vayu was also included. Sonam was stunning in her salwar outfit.
Their home was beautifully decorated, from displaying a glimpse of their personal shrine to the vibrant table arrangement for Vayu's birthday supper. Along with a sizable arrangement of balloons celebrating Vayu's birthday, several colorful paper cranes were also visible hanging from the ceiling.
Sharing the photos, Sonam wrote, "Our Vayu turned 1 yesterday. We did a lovely puja and lunch with family. Thank you so much to the universe for giving us our blessing." Their freinds from the industry responded shortly after with their love in the comments. Bipasha Basu wrote, "Happy Birthday Vayu. God bless you." and Farah Khan said, "Happy birthday proud mumma.. bless."
For the uninitiated, after dating for over two years, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja got married to each other in 2018. Sonam announced her pregnancy in March, last year.
On the work front, Sonam's most recent appearance was in Jio Cinema's Blind. The actress is slowly returning to the industry as her son gets older.
