Shah Rukh Khan shared his New Year 2021 wishes on social media through a video which he posted on Saturday, January 2, 2021. The Bollywood superstar spread the message of hope, love, peace and much more through his two-minute.

He was heard saying, "Hi everybody. It is that time of the year again when the old year is on its way out and the new one is waiting in the wings. I'm late in conveying my wishes to all of you. I'm sure you'll agree that 2020 has been the worst of the years for everybody. In these awful times, it is difficult to find a ray of hope and positivity."

SRK added, "But I have a way of looking at bad days and difficult times as awfully nice. I believe when one is at the lowest, at the rock bottom (sic) of their life, the good thing is that from there on there is only way to move which is upwards, higher, to better places."

Welcoming 2021, he shared, "2020, whatever has been, is in the past now. I believe 2021 is going to be better, brighter and more beautiful for all of us, inshallah. But 2020 has taught us something - that real fun is with real people like your families, friends and loved ones. Friends and enemies you make virtually is good fun but it's not for games."

Shah Rukh Khan also prayed that more people's goals be fulfilled in 2021. He stated, "So, here's wishing you all happiness, joy and peace in 2021. Am I sounding like a cheap greeting card? Forgive me. Here's wishing you lots of paid cash too, so your dreams and goals are fulfilled."

One thing has irked SRK. Mentioning about it, he added, "Before I sign off, here's a personal request. Please don't send me messages which say - hey, here's wishing you one year of happiness, 52 weeks of peace, 365 days of joy. They all mean the same thing, so just send me a 'Happy New Year' message please."

The actor cautioned his fans from getting too drunk and said, "May this year be emphatic, pragmatic, democratic, be absolutely fantastic, just don't be mathematic. It's very boring. So all of you, go forth and have fun. Party hard but in moderation. Don't get too drunk to take off your clothes and run on the streets, because chances are you will get invested and worst thing is that you'll wake up in the morning and find out that you lost your phone, and that really sucks."

Informing about the delay, Shah Rukh pressed, "So here's wishing you all lots of love. Sorry this video was a little delayed because my team is not here. Please excuse me if there are any screw-ups. See you all on the big screen in 2021. Lots of love."

He ended his video saying, "Did it. Without any help."

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in YRF's 'Pathan'. The movie reportedly also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles. Apart from 'Pathan', SRK is also working on a movie with Rajkumar Hirani, Raj & DK as well as Atlee.

SRK last appeared in Aanand L Rai's experimental film 'Zero' which released in 2018. The film had two female leads in Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. R. Madhavan also made a cameo appearance in the film, which did not work at the Box Office as was expected.
